NY POST

quote:

A Louisiana fugitive who spent half his life on the run was captured in Mexico Tuesday — and laughed as he was cuffed more than three decades after he was convicted for trying to murder a lifelong friend. Greg Lawson, 63, was dragged back onto US soil after a tipster reported sighting him in Huatulco, a resort region in the southwestern portion of the country, the FBI announced.

Don’t know. But dude looks like he’s just been living the life down South sipping cerveza, eating some tacos, fishing, and probably got him some Mexican whores. Nice little vacation.

Who "recognized" him over 30 years later? He doesn't look anything like the mugshot

He's almost 65. Maybe getting caught and going to prison was his retirement plan...

Yea, I'm having a hard time believing that random "tipster" was anyone but the FBI or CIA.

He was probably the tipster, probably has some type of medical issue and the only way to get care is to go into a free nursery home, known as Louisiana State Prison System.

Ringgold Shootout

Here's a link to the back story.

ETA: Doesnt really seem like they were friends at all, seems like a road rage incident. Unless, the dude was chasing him or something.

Plot twist - he was trying to sneak back in with the other 3.8 million illegals Biden is letting in.

How in the world would a "tipster" "reported" sighting him. Do they comb through most wanted posters and say "ERMAGAH! THat's the baw from the poster from 32 years ago!"

I’d been waiting to see if this story got posted. I knew him and the whole family. His dad was the local bail bondsman and loan shark. Lots of stories abounded of Max (His dad) getting payback. Several folks in town put up his bond and lost their money.

The whole story of the shooting was that Seth started a fight with Greg because Seth’s wife was rumored to have been running around with Greg. Christy was maybe 10 years younger than Greg. They got into the fight and the went and got guns out of their cars.

His brother lives in Ringgold and has always been everything Greg was not. Tony is in Bienville Parish law enforcement and has lived there with his family all these years. He and his wife have been harassed by the Feds for years. It was especially bad after his mom died.

Everyone always thought he went to Mexico. The sentiment is that someone down there wanted the reward. My thought on seeing this along with everyone who knew him, “HOLY shite! They caught Greg Lawson!!!”
