After living in AZ and visiting Utah and California I def prefer the West and the variety of mountains, desert, redwoods, canyons, red rocks, rolling hills of wine country, cliffs along pacific coast highway, etc. That is more pretty scenery to me than a swamp.

if you're going to include every state from AZ to California, i guess it is quite different then lil ole Louisiana on its own. pretty dumb

So, why do you still live here if the pay for nursing is so low
compared to other states and you do not like it here? Just curious?

My two biggest turn offs about this state is the weather [lack of real seasons] & the fact that Louisiana is flat. People can talk until they are blue in the face about "the great scenery". It's extremely bland imo.

Scruffy has been to 30+ states and 10+ foreign countries (not that much, but he's been around).

There is a reason LA is bottom of the list in education and health.

Well I did say I prefer the west.

I mean I could still just compare scenery from AZ to LA and AZ will win

Grand Canyon
Mountains in Flagstaff
Red rocks of Sedona
Desert
Petrified forest
Slot canyons in Page, AZ
Horseshoe Bend
Mt Lemmon in Tucson

All pretty awesome scenery.....again, better than a swamp imo

Please go on about this culcha that St. Tammany parish has and describe how it provides a safe, thriving, and prosperous environment for your children to grow up in when compared to the likes of other suburbs like Round Rock, TX; Frisco, TX; Folsom, CA; Alpharetta, GA; Kent, WA; Eagan, MN; Woodlands, TX; etc?

I don't personally know much about those school systems however I don't think I would send my child to a public school in any state.

I hate seasons

I wish to everything there wasn't a season

I wish it was always warm enough that I could go to walmart in my wifebeater, jorts, and flip flops

Same here. Its all relative in your point of view of what makes it a good place to live. Having moved from a different state (Illinois) I think its way better then were I'm from. No cold weather or snow, great food, pretty decent economy, cool and unique culture, hot women who are actually nice and down to earth. The politics here are about the same in Illinois, huge corruption, so that was a wash

I love all the posters who say Louisiana sucks yet spend all day on a Louisiana based message board talking to people in Louisiana, lol.

Born and raised here. There is no place like home. My husband and I and our 3 teenage children have traveled all over the country. West coast, east coast and every state in between. Sure, so many states with breathtaking views. Love to travel and visit those cities and states, but Louisiana is home.

She's just explaining the fact that Louisiana's scenery isn't that great . I would have to agree that Arizona has better attractions if you are looking for National Parks or great views.

Some of you get entirely too defensive about this state.
