Lost dog in the Torbert, LA area with $1000 reward.

Torbert is a small town on US-61 between Livonia and Erwinville.
$1000 REWARD!!
Lost dog! Name is CHELSY. She is a gray color pitbull with white chest and cropped ears about 45lbs. Super friendly. Has tags and chip.
Went missing at 12:00pm from this area: 2308 Little Italy Rd Torbert, LA 70762 ....put address on map to see location. if you know anyone around this area plz share.
She is the pet of a US veteran and local gym owner.

I would alert animal control and check back with them at least twice a day.
If I saw a pitbull roaming around my neighborhood I would immediately call animal control. This way if they get her she won't get put down. I think the hold time for dangerous breeds is much shorter than other dogs.

Check the canals and bayous. If I were to find a loose pitbull, that's where I would put it.

Wouldn't surprise me if someone stole it. Pits are a high target dog.

She was with a lab and they ran together to a wooded area playing. The owner, after a few minutes, walked to where they ran to and only found the lab.

Yeah.. Everyone has been sharing it so I put it here, too, since the OT is a good source to help locate her.
I know the owner and I've played with Chelsy before when she was with him at the gym.

I'd start with questioning that lab. He knows something, whether he was involved or not.

Hope they find that dog before some jackwagon grabs her. Can the chip be tracked like those that will broadcast and get picked up by a smartphone app? I just forgot the name of those things.
