Looking to regrade & resod my front yard (1/3 acre lot)...

My yard is tiny. For just the front and the side (in a zero lot line garden home neighborhood), I was quoted close to $2500.
This was with sod being quoted at <$220/pallet and 3 pallets being included in the price.
For a very small front yard/side yard, that works out to just under $2,000 for the labor. I was told this was a 7-8 hour job. Which works out to about $250/hour for "soil," as needed and labor.
As I understand it, my existing soil and turf will be tilled up and then treated to prevent weed growth under the new sod.
Does this sound right?

You haven't gotten a price comparison?

This is a hybrid. This is a cross bluegrass, Kentucky bluegrass, featherbed bent, and northern California sinsemilla. The amazing stuff about this is that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt at night on this stuff.

Drive ~30 minutes towards a rural area.. stop a gas station.. ask if anyone knows anyone that sells fill.. offer them the cost of the sod + cost of soil (~$20-30/yard) + a few hundred bucks for the delivery and grading.
