I have an appt with my doctor on Monday. I'm almost certain its plantar fasciitis. Anyone have any recommendations on dealing with this pain? This freaking sucks. I feel like I can barely walk.

Put a tennis ball on the floor. Put your bare foot on top of it. Roll the ball around with your foot.

Don't run on treadmills.

That will be $350.

Put a tennis ball under your arch and roll your foot back and forth on the tennis ball.

Awful stuff. Stretching, cold foot compresses, and stretching.

Get fitted for a good insert for your shoes, use a rolling pin or racquetball and roll your foot on top of it. The racquetball can bring me to my knees it feels so good

The shoe/arch insert is the game changer.

Can my family doctor take care of that? Or do I have to be referred to a specialist?

Yeah, one of my friends does the rolling pin and ice thing. I think some firm supports like superfeet may help. There so many new, good shoe options. Half the world seems to be weaing Adidas boost of some type. UA has some shoes called Hovr Phantom that kind of form to your foot and have worked for me.

I would see a podiatrist

That have Spenco inserts. Game changer. Plus they can give you an injection to help with the pain
