Have been having issues with Capstone Bank in Tuscaloosa.
Looking at switching to Regions. What are folks opinions on them?

I prefer credit unions

Rates always seem to be more attractive

Go with a credit union. I will never understand why anyone would use a bank.

Regions

Try Iberia Bank or Synovous or a credit union.

Didn't they just win a JD Power award for customer service?

I moved everything out of Region's last year after being with them for almost 20 years.

They kept charging me fees that they shouldn't have. They'd remove them when I asked at first but it became a hassle to get them to stop.

So now we are no longer Region's customers. Unpredictable, unauthorized fees pissed me off enough to switch.

Regions nickel and dimed me to death. I have USAA now which is great if you qualify.

There are no shortage of options in Tuscaloosa. There are what seems like a different bank or credit union on every corner.

I use Wells Fargo and have never had any issues. They have a solid mobile app which is important nowadays, and I like that they have ATM's pretty much anywhere I travel.

I just left Regions.

They are on my shite list now along with Comcast and Ford for overwhelming suckage.

community banks/credit unions are the way to go. Customer service is top notch, rates are competitive

USAA....you will never pay ATM fees, just keep fees under $15/month
Website and app are amazing and customer service is second to none.

I've been with regions for 13 years and don't really care for them. Probably a lot better out there, but too much of a hassle for me to pick everything up and move and also change all my auto-pay shite.

I wouldn't recommend them.
