The bags of IV fluids are in the Pyxis (computerized machine that holds all the meds).
The nurse has to use her fingerprint to get in it and actually go under a specific pt account to pull out the fluids. So it can be easily traced if a count is off.
Just not worth her job or nursing license to steal IV fluids.
