This one is one of the bigger ones in the US. I think it's been going on for 27 years now. They have permanent buildings all set up just for that 8 week festival.
It was an interesting crowd, but everyone seemed to be having a great time and everyone working there so friendly. I bought a turkey leg so I could feel "official"
Saw a ton of people dressed up, that actually might be fun to do for something like that. Not the whole talking or acting medieval...just the cool costumes.

I saw lots of really overweight woman dressed as serving wenches though. And lots of belly dancers with a lil too much belly. But you did see attractive people all decked out as well.
