But he nailed Katrina much earlier than anyone else, so I still have more respect for him than any other local weather guy, and I would be much happier with him getting Katrina right and missing a little wintery mix, than vice versa, although he was very confident last night

Jay Grimes owned up to it tonight. He even had a "busted" graphic.
And he did nail Katrina. The national weather service was calling for Baton Rouge to get nailed. His forecast was completely different (and ended up being right). I interviewed him one time and we discussed that for a while.
