I play each one by ear but if I see that they aren't even looking I usually don't have a lot of patience.

I rarely use my horn. Too many crazies out there that may overreact and come after you just because you honked your horn. Not worth it

Somewhat related -

I was walking out of a Walgreens the other day and noticed far more cars than normal in the turning lane at the light. Come to find out, and elderly lady had stopped with basically a car length or two of free space in front of her at the light, and the sensor wasn't picking up that there was a car in the turning lane so the light never turned green. Eventually people went around her and filled in the gap and the light turned green. CSB, I know.

About 2-3 seconds.

I heard a sports radio host mention a couple of months ago that he was the 3rd car at a red light so he started looking at his phone. When he looked up a minute or two later, the light was turning yellow. He realized that the 6-7 cars (in both lanes) were all looking at their phones so nobody even noticed to honk. Sign of the times.

If I am first I usually pause a sec and look before going.

People run to many red lights.

If I am behind somebody about 3-4 secs.

Reminds me of the Chris Rock bit on being able to call someone a fig when they are being a fig.

If that happens and the person is driving a minivan, than you need to remove the minivan driver from the vehicle, behead that person and use their blood as lubricant to frick their eye sockets.

I've witnessed this once. I pulled in the other lane, stopped the car right next to them, made eye contact and mouth "dumbass" as I slowly pulled up to the actual line.

I usually yell with such ferocity that they move before I can remember there is a horn.

That is neither joking or bragging. I have road rage.

What if they have a bumper sticker such as, "Honk if you're horny and gay!"
