GF just got a new pup. Quite mischievous as any puppy would be. When she acts up or does something she shouldn't, my dog (2 years old) will reprimand (bark and paw at) the new puppy for her to stop. Listens to my dog every time, but won't listen to us

My dog of the last 12 years appreciates that I am not a dog person, so she is perfectly content receiving very little attention from me as long as she has food, water, and a comfortable giant pillow bed. I have considered giving her up to a family that would shower her with attention, but I think she likes the relaxed environment where there are no expectations of either party.
This makes me sad for some reason

I was thinking the same thing. I don't trust people who don't like dogs. At least he/she is honest about it.

She bought a pup from my past 2 litters. So that could be some of the same blood line.

I almost bought a camp with the same setup for windows. Sadly I didn't.

its all fun and games until the dog wakes the entire fricking house up at 3:45am because a bunch of deer are walking by.
eta this is why he sleeps in our room now and we pull the curtains.

Trained as a therapy dog, kinda regressed a bit since my daughter was born though. Pretty much has no interest in any dog toy ever made.
