Thank you for your service. I remember the morning I left for Ft Benning well and that will be 16 years ago this August.
You're going to Sand Hill I presume. I was in Charlie Co. 1-50 while there and Columbus was blistering hot in the beginning and then they had record cold temps at the end of my basic.
The experience def made me buck-up and become a man cause at the time I entered I was drifting along through life and partying like I was a rock star with no future to speak of really. That all changed the day I joined. I only stayed in for 6 and I knew that it wasn't the life for me but my military background has landed me the job on more than one occasion over other qualified people applying for the same job.
Sorry for the incoherent rambling but you brought back a lot of memories with your post.
