Looks like one of the St. George backers has filed a lawsuit challenging the Metro Council's recent approval of the MOL/OLOL Annexation into the City of Baton Rouge. Article said the suit is assigned to Judge Clark. Isn't this the same judge who was in the news last year regarding the suit against LSU pertaining to the hiring process of its new chancellor? What are the odds that she dismisses this suit?

I do admit that they have a very valid point about first response crews - if something were to happen in there like a million hoodrats clog the mall, who gets first response duties since the building would have double jurisdiction between anchor stores and the individual stores? Dumb move by Kip to just pick and chose and I think it's going to hurt them in the end.

And who represents the Metro Council? Is it the same attorney that 1/2 of the council is trying to fire?

Well Jenkins described it as such: "It's probably got eight different ways that it's illegal. Any one of them would strike it down". You've got to think that'll end up going forward.

It doesn't matter what Jenkins thinks. Just matters what Judge Clark thinks.

Very good. I work for a law firm and every suit we file against EBR School Board ends up in her court. Coincidence? I think not.
