It amazes me that my father went through Purdue Pharmacy School with me and my sister at a very…very young age while my mother worked nights at the hospital as a anti partum nurse at Home Hospital…used his GI Bill plus working in the Pharmacy to pay his was through.

I remember my father took me and my sister to one of the Chemistry class one afternoon…the professor told my father to never bring us back to class again.

The lady will need help from you raising the kid while she studies. Start pinching your nipples now so they won't be as sore after breastfeeding.

Agreed.

Time to become a man OP…suck it up and welcome to fatherhood…your life will never be the same. Look at it this way, your kid will be graduating HS while you still be at a young age.

Man, kids are pussies these days. I went back to school and got my PETE degree while my wife got her MSN with two kids under 2.

You'll be fine. Kiss your social life goodbye, but you'll be fine

Together since September? That's going to really suck for her when y'all eventually break up.. You have a girlfriend of 3 months balancing a new relationship, pregnancy, and the first year of law school...

Seriously, run that scenario through your head

Best of luck to you. Be a good father to the child and support your SO to the best of your ability. That's all you can do.

Embrace it, dude. Parenting is hard as hell, but rewarding. Hopefully, you care for this girl and your relationship can flourish. Life (and opportunities) are what you make of them.

Law school is more than a 40hr/week job

Oh frick off. We're not your parents; you don't have to give us your excuses for not working.

OP: you'll be fine, she'll be fine. If anything it'll be an incentive to work harder. My friend was doing her residency in pediatrics when she got pregnant. Her husband was a 2L. They're both employed now and have a great story for their kids about hard work.

Do NOT let/encourage her to drop out. After the first year it's a breeze.
ETA: I was in night law school classes with a lady who drove in from Lafayette every day and had two special-needs kids at home. Made me feel like a real dumbass when she had read the cases and I hadnt.

Know how I know you didn't go to law school?

Sure, 2L year is a breeze. Have fun making $35k/year being a public defender.

The only way I'd do criminal defense is if oil gets any cheaper. So probably this time next week.

Best of luck with your thriving and exciting insurance defense shop.
