BREAKING REPORT: Founding member of Dixie Chicks killed in head-on car crash..
Laura Lynch, an original member of The Dixie Chicks, tragically passed away in a direct collision car accident in Texas.
At the age of 64, the musician lost her life instantly when her vehicle was struck by another car attempting to pass on a highway near El Paso on Friday afternoon, as reported by TMZ.
The individual driving the other car was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, while Lynch was pronounced deceased at the accident site.
Lynch was one of the founders of The Dixie Chicks, along with Robin Lynn Macy, Martie Erwin, and Emily Erwin in 1990.
Born in Texas, the vocalist produced three albums with the group before departing in 1993.

She left the band before they got popular. The Dixie Chicks were more traditional bluegrass before.
