L'Auberge Baton Rouge; can you go before checkin to hang around the pool?

Have a room for a weekday night, and the wife and I were going to go a little early to have a few drinks around the pool. Is this allowed and how do they regulate to keep the crowds away?

You use your room key to access the elevators that being you up to the pool

As long as you have res. The check in girl will walk you to the elevator and give you access
