Our thinking in regards to our appearance def puzzles men.
My husband still doesn't understand me when I say I'm "wasting" my hair if the day I get my hair done(and a blow out is included in that) I don't go do anything that day
But I bet you totally get what I'm saying.

But if I know that's all it is I can stop having grand ideas about it being more. When we get together it's just sex. But it's when we're talking outside of being together that makes me like him. even when I know my hair is too dirty to just use dry shampoo, if I'm know I'm washing it and fixing it the next day, I'll just wear it dirty anyway

He also still forgets to give me enough notice if he wants to go someplace nice. I wear my hair in a braid on days that I'm working or just laying low at home(it's just easier). I can't just go from that to wearing my hair long. I need at least an hour advance so I have enough time to wash/dry my hair.

But really, you have long hair and probably a lot more than me so it'd take longer, but when my hair has been in a clip or ponytail and I don't have time to wash it and dry it, then I just Curl it. Dirty hair curls better than straight hair anyway
