The last time I ate at Ryan's was at the Opelousas location when the gas well explosion occurred next to the I-10 in 2007. All that traffic was diverted to I-49 to Hwy 190.

That location was always busy, especially on the weekends and Sunday. I used to really enjoy eating there when I was younger, now I can't imagine why people continued to eat there.

I remember our football coaches used to take us there to eat sometimes. As a teenager, I thought it was delicious.
