How was your experience getting LASIK? Any complications, do you still have good vision after X amount of years? How much am I looking at for the procedure?

My grandmother had it when she was in her 70s. When she got out, she could see better than I could. After that, she really only wore glasses for appearance sake and she died at 82

My wife had it in 1999. About 5 years ago, she had to start wearing readers again, and about 2 years ago she started needing prescription glasses again, but overall she is happy with the experience.

I'm sure the tech has gotten better since 1999, but that was her experience.

Got it done 4 years ago. Best decision I ever made. 20/20 vision still, but the surgery does not fix the natural aging of the eyes. You will likely need readers again in your 40's or 50's. You'll wish you had it done 5 years before.

I've never seen an ophthalmologist who has gotten lasik.

With that said, my dad got it and thought it was a good investment at the time. Still wears reading glasses now and then

I got it 11 years ago. Still see as good to this day as the immediate aftermath of getting it done.

Dr. Williamson did mine about 5 years ago. I have 20/10 vision. My only regrets is that I didn't have it done sooner. I would definitely recommend it.
