Know anyone who's been "Baker'd" into a shrink shop?

A few weeks ago some cops took my wife involuntarily from work to a mental health canter, where they put her under 24-observation and evaluation.
They did this under Florida's Baker Act, which provides for voluntary or involuntary admission to such places.
Apparently, my wife went a little off the rails at work, so the cops used their authority to take her.
Anyone out there had similar experiences, especially outside the state of Florida? If so, I'm interested to know what your state's laws are for this situation.

In fact, my wife is a Phillipina who shoots ping pong balls out of her a-hole. That's one of the reasons I married her--and for all I know, maybe that's what she was doing at work to get hauled away (although I think it was something work related).

There are laws in most states that allow this, I think the local Coroner has to sign off on it in LA, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

When I picked my wife up from the facility the following day, the doc who did the eval--well, when he met me he gave me a look that clearly said:

And of course, he's right.
The point being, you do not want to get involved with a person like my wife unless you yourself are a hideously twisted frick. I kid you not.
