She's been running a pretty good fever, bad rash broke out in entire body started w cheeks now arms and legs and stomach. Supposed nothing to do but I don't like this constant fever. She was 104.6 oral temp before I dosed her up w ibuprofen again. We were at LSU game Saturday when I think she started not feeling well into Sunday which I'm wondering if the sun exposure made her breakout worse.

Guice made me sick too.

Alternate Tylenol and Motrin every three hours.
Tylenol, then 3 hours later give Motrin, rinse and repeat if fever is present.
Make sure she drinks. Kids lose their appetite for solid food first, but as long as she stays well hydrated, she should be ok.
It's been 2-3 days now?

Only thing I don't like is how high her temp is. 104.7F is decently high. My recommendation is it couldn't hurt to have her seen by her doctor. She's responding to the ibuprofen?
If it's Parvo, it should only last a few more days. Rash may stay around for a while though.

shite....Prayers for the little one. Didn't know people caught parvoviruses. I had dogs with it.... thought it was strictly an animal thing. The More You Know!

Had no idea humans could get parvo.
Hope your daughter gets well soon.

Hope your kid gets better, but if there's one guy here whose kid would get a dog virus I bet you are in top five.

You need to get her temp down! Rotate ibuprofen and Tylenol every 3 hours and get some ice packs on her or in a tepid bath. Kids hate it, but it must be done. DO NOT let her get under heavy covers no matter how cold she says she feels

It came down a bit, it was 101.7 a bit ago. When we got home she was on sofa sleeping and had north face jacket on so between waking up and jacket it probably spiked her temp a bit more but I kid you not I was sleeping w her Sunday night when she really got worse, she was on fricking fire that night

Parvo and fifth disease are almost same, not sure what separates the two

Force fluids eating isn't really important and like scruffy said Tylenol and motrin. Give the Tylenol every 4 hrs and the motrin every 6 hrs. Start them 2-3 hrs apart. Put her in light clothes and no heavy blankets. It never hurts to go see the pediatrician in the morning if you're still worried.

My son had fifths disease a couple of months ago, was told by the doctor that once the rash shows up, then they are no longer contagious. My sons fever never got above 101 and that was only for a day. It took about a week for the rash to clear up.

Kids are remarkably resilient to having high fevers. A kid can a 105 fever from some shitty virus and be totally fine playing around. If that is the case then the kid is fine. If the kid is lethargic and isn't really responsive, then this is the time to worry when kids have a fever.
