Just Switched To AT&T/Direct TV. Good Move?

Direct TV came out this morning to install everything. AT&T is coming Monday to install the internet and I will be going to Cox to drop off my boxes and cancel my account.
It's something I thought about doing from time to time and finally decided to do it.
My Cox bill was $320/month. That was for the bundle, and I had the sports package with SEC Network, NFL, MLB, NBA network, etc and HBO & Showtime.
I was getting HBO & Showtime for like $8 a month and awhile back I had to call Cox and talk with a CS rep. He was looking over my bill and he was like "You have HBO, Showtime.." At the time none of the shows I watch was on, so I figured I would cancel it until the shows I watch come back.
Then a little while later he was like "You were getting both HBO & showtime for $8 so you were pretty much getting it for free" and I said "Oh okay, well I guess there is no need to cancel it" and he told me "sir, you already requested it be canceled, if you want it back you will have to pay full price". A few months later I ended up subscribing again and then it seemed like every few months something would go up.
Finally I compared Direct TV/AT&T prices to Cox and what was eventually costing me $320, it cost $148/month with Direct TV/AT&T and it has more available in it's sports package and the guy gave me 1 free year of the NFL ticket and a $100 gift card... From a quality standpoint did I make a good decision?

No question. That's with just about anything just because nothing is "perfect", but I guess I am questioning if Cox was just ridiculously expensive or is AT&T cheaper because of some underlying reason.

Usually you ask for advice prior to switching.

AT&T cell service has sucked balls the last several months around BR.

I hate Cox. I like their internet. I hate having to haggle with the bastards every 4 to 6 months. But since AT&T is my only option I deal with Cox. Lots of people say AT&T sucks so that’s the only reason I haven’t tried switching. But frick Cox those slimy pieces of shite.

I've had people tell me they don't want Directv, which I have, because it goes out in a thunderstorm. But my experience with cable before was it went out about as much, you just could never predict it. And AT&T gave me a really good discount for this year, and I got Showtime for free for 2 months without even asking.

I have Cox internet and YouTubeTV. Screw contracts. I enjoy being able to change service on a whim if I desire.

Yeah, good point. Actually, most people around me have Cox, but I did talk to someone who does have Direct TV/AT&T and he said the only issue he ever had was it messing up sometimes when the weather gets bad, but that it hadn't been doing it as much.. But as I was checking everything out I was just still asking myself.. Although it's too late.. Just seeing if anyone else recently switched and can share their experience.

I just renegotiate with cox every 2 years to keep it back at the original promotional bundle
Cox is probably the most reliable of the available options

How the frick are you paying $320 a month? I have every channel imaginable, Contour DVR, sports package, and HBO. And I have their new Panoramic WiFi that is insanely fast.
I pay $159.

We’ve had Direct Tv for close to 10 years. We enjoy it but it’s expensive also.
We live in the country and the only internet options are satellite or similar. We had Exede and they were very expensive for small data caps. We swapped to AT&T fixed wireless last week and it blows satellite out of the water for a lot less money.
I’d recommend both.

Don’t know why you were paying $320 / month. I have the sports package, hbo, showtime, cinemax, etc, and Internet. I pay $205 / month.
