I heard something rumbling this afternoon but I don't know what time it was and don't know if it had anything to do with a quake. I thought it sounded like thunder off in the distance.

I know 2.3 is very minor. Esp with me being 20-30 miles northeast of where the epicenter is on the map linked in the OP.

The only reason I noticed it, the rumbling, was because yesterday I heard something rumbling that lasted for a cpl mins and I looked off the deck and saw a Chinook type helicopter flying across the sky.

Whatever it was today didn't last but a few seconds.

I live out of town so the only noises I typically hear, besides nature, are boats or automobiles.

It was just mentioned. Nothing much was said other than time, magnitude, and location.
