To be fair, Chris didn’t throw the first punch.

I may have locked the door to the ramp at Mike's. Maybe.

Just once.

His posting is assault in and of itself.

According to historical maps Alligator Bayou road has been in place ,"blocking the natural basin" with many homes since at least 1921.

an aqua dam raising the height of the barrier by at least 3 feet has been there since Monday?

also, pretty confident that water has topped the road surface and flowed into Spanish Lake since 1921

drainage canal in to MS River? The 4th longest river in the world and Top 10 in discharge? With typical flow rate, what you suggest the MS would immediately scour that canal and flow from the MS river into Spanish Lake and inundate the region and beyond. Waters that flow into the MS are major tributaries like the Missouri and Ohio, not some offshoot canal from Spanish Lake to alleviate a few miles of Aquadams!

Excuse my ignorance, but what’s the difference between what the poster suggested and what is being done north kf Baton Rouge with the Comite Diversion Canal?

Also, why can’t the state work on some master plan to include not only some sort of diversion canal south of BR that protects EBR, Ascension ANd Iberville all at the same time?

Would it not be possible to do something great with Spanish Lake like Toledo Bend or what was being proposed with the Darling Dam that would provide flood protection and maybe at the same provide and outdoor/recreational “paradise” for this area of Louisiana?

So you’re saying to retaliate by impeding a main hwy used by over 20,000 vehicles a day. I’m glad you’re just a house mom.

First, a house mom is not a housewife. It's a lady who serves as a parental figure for a fraternity or sorority.

Second, my comment was a bit tongue in cheek. If Iberville is going to start a fight with us like we're two warring nations, we'll just cut off one of your major transportation arteries. You made my point for me.

The parishes need each other to cooperate. EBR has had some awful city planning, and our garbage/drain problem is tremendous and criminal. But, starting a big war with EBR won't help your case, either. Instead of fighting amongst ourselves, we should take a harder look at who is making these decisions and who is profiting from them. Aim your anger there.
