You see...I'm the exact opposite.
I can give a little freedom to use force, even excessive sometimes, when an arrest is warranted. Where I can't is arresting people who don't deserve to be arrested.
If he never pushed Breaux and there was no riot (just a group of kids where one of them yelled "F*&K the police"), there should be no arrest, no beating, no laws broken.
But, Breaux is from street crimes. He is used to little street thugs and cracking skulls all day. He's obviously dumb as they come and lacks good judgement skills. I know you're rights still exist after being arrested for breaking the law, but punching someone that you caught breaking the law doesn't even concern me all that much.

Average Joe isn't not employed and trained to protect and serve, nor would average Joe lie and stretch the truth to protect him.
So if the cop was an average Joe, walking through the parking lot that night, drunk kid gets in his face, average Joe pushed him down and drunk kind was no longer a threat. Average Joe then jumps on drunk kid and beats his face in. Drink kid files charges. would you think that the charges should be dropped against average Joe????
I'm bit saying the kid is an angel or did nothing wrong, all I'm saying is he can be a punk kid, but the cop had no reason to do what he did toward the end and the way these stories keep getting embellished on the JPSOs end makes me think the cop let this whole thing go to his head
Like I have said 100 times. I'm willing to bet this cop did not identify him self at all, there was an altercation where he was the aggressor and drunk kid stepped up. I don't believe the cop ever identified himself like he claimes

There is such a lack of trust and respect between civilians and police and situations like this are exactly why. Hardly anybody cares about the truth anymore.
Becker and his crew will do his best to save his arse and JPSO will back each other to protect Breaux. Meanwhile, Breaux will still expect to be obeyed or he'll find something to arrest you for and kids like Becker will grow and continue to have no respect for police.
