If you remember any of these legends then you were at LSU in the late 80s

If they were legends, wouldn't more recent grads also know of them?

Deserves a smidgen of immortality for the time somebody asked him, "You still playing shows?"

"I was," he replied, "but I broke up"

Are these guys like the equivalent of the "Free Hugs" guy, the football T Rex, the demonic looking girl from the ice bowl basketball game, and the jackass in the white a neon suit jacket that dances at the football games?

Don't get me wrong. I liked Jerry.

But he was the original attention whore.

Jeff Duhe was the typical campus big shot (rumor was he was a "nut not to be cracked by the tap of a lady's fan", in Herman Melville's classic phrase) who ran for student govt, worked at the reveille and God knows what else. He ended up working at LPB -- I don't know where he is now

Jerry Shumaker (or was it Schumacher?) was the wannabe Dylan who played his guitar in the quad. Again, no idea where he is now

I don't really recall Mark Tullis aside from the name and don't recall the girl at all

Anybody remember Sister Cindy?

You are correct on all counts. He definitely had his share of interesting editorials published.

Yep. His entourage at free speech alley became known as 'Jerry's kids' and he was good at making up songs about current LSU personalities.

First non greek sga president in like 20 years and ran a political machine that made huey long stand up in his grave and applaud.

Sga president prior to tullis and was the subject of a rather entertaining shumaker ditty.

Brother jed and sister Cindy were the best things on campus outside of the hari Krishna's

I knew a Jason Duhe.

He was a good guy with a glass eye, and he liked to freak people out by taking it out of the socket and put it in his mouth.

Wonder if that dude is on here.....

My favorite was the old LSU parking ticket cop who had the big round tumor on his head that made his trooper hat sit crooked.

He gave me a ticket one day for parking in a "MC" spot. When I told him I thought MC stood for My Car, he laughed and tore up the ticket.

Anyone remember when tullis had all his SGA checks for the year cashed into dollar bills which he threw up in the air to the free speech alley crowd?
