Where would you rather move your family and why?

ETA: Nice suburbs included

Like asking if I'd rather move to Baghdad or Kabul.

I prefer Jackson though, having lived both places at one point or another. The res is nice and the local law enforcement does a great job of profiling to keep the people that don't belong there out.

Both suck, but at least Memphis has an NBA team, Beale St, and BBQ.

I've been to Jackson, so I know it sucks... However, i've never been to Memphis. Nashville is fun, and Knoxville seems nice enough. Seems like TN just has a lot more to offer than LA. Memphis couldn't be any worse than BR or Shreveport.

Absolutely Memphis. First, I should admit that I enjoy Memphis.

Memphis is superior to Jackson every single way imaginable. Better economy, better schools, better nightlife and entertainment, better food, better neighborhoods, better suburbs, no state income-tax, etc...

Madison is nice and seems like a good place to raise a family. I lived there about 10 years ago when I was single.

Memphis because theres more to it, but I disagree with you on one point. If we're picking suburbs, give me Madison over Cordova/collierville hell any day.
