but my Security Forces friends who do missile protection literally train for this 24/7.

This isn't about the base. The people on the list don't live on the base. They drive the planes. They're the officers in charge of things. They are extremely important to our ability to strike our enemies and they and their families are now forfeit with little to no help from the government in spite of the fact that they themselves personally are put on the front lines.

They're cool about it. The way this happened in the case of Barksdale was they flew into Australia for liaison thing and their picture was posted in a newspaper along with their names. That was all it took. Next thing you know, ISIS nerds have stalked their facebooks and everything else on the web to hunt them down and in most cases have home addresses. That was a new thing.

And that's real. These guys have their heads on the block and it would be a huge coup to go kill them or their family members and honestly, they'd probably get away with it. There's no support for them beyond the fact that local law enforcement was made aware back when this list came out. I'm sure they'll step up patrols but that's closing the barn door after the horses have escaped. They aren't deterring anything. Anything that might actually save a life is being done by the guys on the list themselves. That's messed up.

I'm glad to see they are taking a second look at this but my friend and his wife that are on this list have been there long enough now they know better than to expect anyone to save them but themselves.

Shreveport Barksdale Air Force Base..... O what is that you say? The base only holds America's largest collection of B52 Bombers. Why is that important you say? ISIS could knock out a very strategic military defense location. The same location President Bush was immediately flown to post 911.
