Other than almost every piece of clothing she buys me from a Pea Coat to a t-shirt will have a hole in it some where. I have blankets of all kinds, I think I have about 10 of them right now and others have been used and discarded in moves.

Mine before she passed would always give me a single quarter and told me to save it. She did this every day from the day we got to America until she died.

It was weird as frick but I have an obscene number of quarters completely filling a 5 gallon jug that I'll never spend

I get a box of chocolate covered cherries in my stocking for Christmas every year. I am 39 and still get them, I haven't eaten them since I was about 13.

Don't have the heart to tell her I don't like them.

Odd ball? Nothing
Anything she deems junk and doesn't want? Yes.

Pizza coupons. She gets them in the mail and saves them for me. I'm thinking "Jesus, ma, how much damn pizza do you think we eat?" but I just thank her and toss them in the garbage when I get home.

One day, though, I'm sure I'll miss it.

She buys me Cadbury eggs each Easter because she's convinced that I love them which I don't. I've told her plenty of times I don't care much for them but each Easter there they are again.

David brother next time eat one the second she hands it to you. It'll warm her heart to see and it'll break yours when she's gone and you didn't.

It true that you will miss them when you don't get them anymore. Younger people will understand when you are close to losing your parents. I am about to lose my father to pulmonary fibrosis and it sucks so much arse.

My mother passed while on my 5th deployment and it was easily the single most crushing thing I ever experienced and we were never close due to our culture but your mama is your mama and that's the only woman in your life that will ever love you and die for you no matter what you do.

All I can say is keep what they give you because it's all you'll have one day

Sorry about your father brother I'll put you and he in my prayers and I hope you two get more time than you expect together

Thank you sir, I question whether it's best to lose them suddenly with no time, or watching them die with suffering involved. Theses days I can understand Dr. Kevorkian.

Nothing really odd. She was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer 1.5 years ago. No telling when she will leave us. I save everything with her handwriting on it now. Little notes...cards...anything. Makes me sad to type this.
