Is there anything worse then going to work with chills, body aches, and fatigue?

I feel like complete shite and I started to get all the symptoms as the day went on and I can’t take off tomorrow because somebody is on vacation this week and somebodyquit last Friday and and there is nobody to cover for me and I know if I don’t go tomorrow, I will be freaked when I get back to work fixing a big mess I don’t want to deal with. I can call in tomorrow and stress the supervisor out by staying in bed all day but I already had my theraflu and i will try to deal with the bullshite tomorrow.

this years flu is rough

It does suck to have to go to work sick. At my work they pay lip service to "don't come to work sick" but the unspoken reality is you better be unable to stand if you don't come in. Over the past 25 years I have missed work 3 times. Each of the 3 times I was in the hospital.

Same setup of symptoms for me last year around Mardi Gras. I felt bad and got sent home. I used a home COVID test, positive. And got an unexpected 10 days off, even though I started feeling well after a day. But keep testing positive for nearly a week.
First bout of COVID ever for me, I was vaxed 3 times in 2021, and after said screw it, no more shots for me.
