I have a ton of trouble believing it because EVERY prediction made since this started back in the late 80’s has failed to materialize. So much failure, that the phenomenon had to be rebranded. I have doubts because the scientists were caught red-handed manipulating data. I have doubts because, if we are all dead in 20 years, why are we doing NOTHING about China and India? Every proposed solution involves taking my tax dollars and funneling it into leftist pet projects that do MORE damage to the environment than fossil fuels (electric cars, wind turbines, etc...). I have doubts because, as Dan Pena put it, why are corporatist financiers who push climate change underwriting 30 year waterfront mortgages all over Florida? Why is Obama buying mansions 50 feet from the shore in Martha’s Vinyard?

As for Alaska... there has ALWAYS been a hottest summer on record, and it’s changed frequently over recorded history.

Congrats on being a fricking sheep.

If Democrats really believed in Climate Change, they would ban products and services from China and India who are two of the biggest polluters and energy users in the world, until they straightened out their act. But they won’t because China has them all on their payroll. It’s all about taking your money and giving it to someone else and about controlling the masses. Nothing else. So if you Climate Change sheeple want to do something, start pestering your Democratic overlords about India and China. And then see what happens. Biden could fix China really quickly if he wanted to with those executive orders he is so fond of.

I don't believe in MAN MADE weather anything, but I have no doubt, that finding stone age artifacts under ice melts signifies that climate changes. Frequently

wrong. but way to be a Rebel

i say restrictions can go frick right off but if you are still denying that humans have an impact on the climate then you are just in denial. as soon as people change the argument from "it doesn't exist" to "it isn't worth crushing our economy and way of life over" then there can be a conversation. until then you will just be wrong and in denial

Climate change is real. It's also cyclical and has been since God created the earth.

This.

While it was super, duper toasty in Alaska, in my part of NC it was fairly mild most of the summer.

Here's what climate alarmists and true believers DO NOT understand: we will NEVER be able to dictate/control the climate to EVERYONE'S satisfaction.

Also, who decides what the prevailing temps are supposed to be EVERYWHERE in the world?

Adapt. It's all we can do. When the Bill Gates of the world start talking about Miami losing its beaches, what they're really talking about is what an inconvenience it will be for him and his rich buddies to have to sell their oceanfront properties.

If they really believed in this nonsense, then they wouldn't have those properties because they would know those properties are doomed.

Just like when the left completely refuses to discuss the margin of error when talking weather and climate predictions.

Considering that such a large percentage of figures, stats, trends, etc. exists within that margin of error, it really does present a challenge to those speaking in such definites. They will continue to do so until they are consistently called out on it. If the science is sound and undeniable, it should be relatively easy to defend. It rarely is, however.

I am a geologist. Yosemite’s topography was created by glaciers. The Great Lakes were formed by a continental glacier like the one that covers Greenland. Long Island, NY, is a terminal moraine, or a pile of dirt pushed up in front of an advancing glacier. Where are those glaciers now? What caused them to melt? Have human eyes ever seen them? The list of evidence of a warming climate is extensive.

If humans had a lifespan of 4 hours, those born at midnight would only know darkness. Those born 2 hrs before sunrise would be certain that the earth would burn up. Those born at 10 am would only know light, and those born 2 hours before sunset would panic as the earth plunged into darkness. Point is, Humans haven’t existed long enough to identify the long-term cycles that affect climate. Accurate weather data only goes back about a century. Data beyond that is inferred from tree rings, gas bubbles in ice cores and other such things that are estimated and are presented to the general public as rock hard facts.

A change in the angle of the suns rays and slight differences in the length of daylight are the differences in winter and summer. In fact I bet where you live, the sun will cause a change of 20 degrees F or more in about 8 hours tomorrow. The warming effect of man-made emissions compared to the sun is like complaining about the volume of your dial tone to that of a train horn.

If you believe a 5 degree F temperature change over the next 100 years will end human life, you can be made to believe anything (even that these predictions are accurate, or that government can fix it)
