You can only get into one lane when getting off of I-12

That's the big holdup right now, and I'm not 100% sure why both entry lanes aren't open.

This, except 3x. All with no problem.

Have there been any weather related concerns that may have impacted the period of performance for construction on the project you think?

Hmmm...I’m trying to think of something...anything weather related that may have happened during the previous 24 months...

I still have hope that the folks of the LP have more driving abilities than the Hammondites down the road. I'm not sure what Tangipahoa/Hammond planners were thinking when they put, not 1, not 2, but 3 got damn turnabouts back to back to back. Most of the folks in that area have a real difficult time turning left out of anywhere, much less navigate the turnarounds.

They're absolutely the worst during high traffic volumes.

You live in Livingston?

Let me ask you, are the Meth labs shutting down for the storm?

DOTD is really pushing these horrific roundabouts everywhere. I've seen several near collisions in a few of them.

The roundabout to get onto Railroad Avenue in Hammond off I-12 stalls traffic like no other. It takes forever for these trucks to pull onto the roundabout properly and traffic is backed up. Takes ten minutes sometimes just to exit.

most residents figured out the Hammond roundabouts pretty quickly, you're right it's the trucks that back that thing up. and with two big truck stops right there maybe a roundabout wasn't the greatest idea

That is not a roundabout friendly parish. Took them damn near 20 years to figure out stop signs.

If it's anything like the New Orleans Metro area, they still haven't figured them out.

Note: you don't have to stop at a stop sign and wait for someone else to stop. And I don't mean stopping at about the same time and waiting to make sure they aren't going; I mean, stopping and waiting for a car down the road to get to the stop sign and then stopping before you proceed.
