Over and over, more and more, I read and hear people (trying to sound erudite, apparently) substitute "you and I" or such when correct grammar calls for "you and me".

I'm not sure how I feel about that, actually. On the one hand, I resent the lack of education, but then I'm not opposed to streamlining the language where it makes sense to do so. "You", for example, works perfectly well as both a subject and object pronoun.

By the way... Irry Christmas.

Do you mean when they substitute "you and I" for "you and me" as object pronouns or as subjects? Obviously the rules are different for both situations. But yea some people are trying too hard to use proper grammar

One of my biggest pet peeves of all time. I think it's aggravated by the fact that said speaker is usually a pretentious hack.

It blows my mind that people can get through school without knowing the difference between a subject and an object...

It is not. Your joke was noted and appreciated.

It is correct, if awkward, because you end the question with the preposition "about."

"About whom are you talking/speaking" would be standard and a bit more natural, but not as colloquial as "who are you talking about" which, though not standard English, has evolved into acceptable use.

That's why it was "Whachoo talking bout, Willis?". Avoids ending with a preposition.

"myself" gets a lot of incorrect use as well.
