They've been saying it's coming since Tuesday.

What gives?

I had to give my dog a bath this morning because of all the mud and water in the backyard. It's been raining.

Raining here in Broussard. Nothing too bad though.

The storm system stretches from Mexico to New York and appears to be skirting the Baton Rouge area for now, but I believe heavy rains are coming this afternoon. Is it a guarantee? No

Looks like a chance BR could escape entirely, or with only a couple hours worth of rain.

you think the rain is just going to disappear before hitting BR?

There's a low in Mexico that is slowly dragging its arse across it. Once it starts moving east the same stuff in CENLA is going to be moving into here.
