Well, to be more precise, the direction a toilet flushes is determined by the design of the toilet, not its location relative to the equator. Toilets in the US and Australia can flow in any direction they so choose.
Additionally, who in their right mind doesn't include Australia as a continent. You can make a good case for combining the Americas or Europe and Asia, but Australia is a continent.

So the sun is a flashlight focusing it's light in just one direction. Seems like if there's light on certain places on earth, then there would be no light anywhere else in the solar system, since the flashlight sun is only shining on Earth. Why do we have satellites in orbit? If the world were relatively flat, we could just have really tall antennas to communicate with China, or at least one taller than any mountain in between the points of communication.

That explains why people on the south pole don't fall into space. Assuming the atmosphere isn't real either, which it probably isn't.
