No, the worst casino ever is in a hotel in Irkutsk, Russia. The entire casino consisted of one slot machine, one blackjack table and one craps table.

The first night I went to it I won about $50 at the blackjack table. I went back the next night and the casino manager came over to me when I sat down at the blackjack table and told me I could play the craps table but I would not be allowed to play blackjack again. I asked why and he said, "Because you won too much money last night."

I said, "Fifty bucks is too much money to win?!"

He said, "Yes."

I can think of a shite ton of casinos within 1.5 hours that are much worse. What the hell is wrong with you.
Treasure Chest and Boomtown are pathetic.

Ever been to the boat in Natchez?

It can't possibly be as ghetto as Belle of Baton Rouge.

Isle of Capri in Lake Charles easy!

while the Isle does cater to a lower demo, it's fricking Heaven on Earth compared to the BR boats

Haha. I'm from the Coast so I grew up with casinos. I don't really care for them.

one of the reasons i quit poker for 8 years was b/c i couldn't stand watching the slot zombies over and over again

the new poker room at the isle is secluded and you don't really run into people in the pit at all. Lauberge has its own little room and you primarily see a row of slots that aren't popular. the nugget poker room has no dividers and is close to the action. i'm not a fan of that room

My wife had a teachers conference in Vegas once and they put us up at the Riviera. Jesus God that place was awful. It smells like they've been bbq'ing inside for 50 years, the room was dirty and rundown, and my wife got food poisoning from the food court.

Has The Amelia Belle Casion in Morgan City been mentioned yet?

I'd be hard pressed to say there is a casino within driving distance worse than that beauty.

I smelled like an ash tray for 2 weeks last time I stumbled into that place.

They were starting on some renovations when we went, so it's probably better now than then. So bad.

I probably stayed there a decade ago fwiw

But I was hardly there and also Hilton does have my favorite non-up-tight sports book and it's literally right behind Da Riv

It's pretty horrible.

I mean it's nice for New Orleans but in a normal gambling city that would be considered a shitty place. Seems like New Orleans could use mutiple land based casinos. Everyone has to step up their game.

Hard Rock in Biloxi is the worst I've been to.

Including Belle, Amelia Belle, IP (pre Katrina I believe), cypress bayou

I played blackjack at the HR after walking over from Beau, and during the hour I was there I was not offered one drink.

The Riviera has been torn down now and the Las Vegas Hilton is now the Westgate, though the Sportsbook is still there.

As for Harrah's in New Orleans, I went there when I was in town for a conference last week, made a quick $1,400, put the money back in my hotel safe, then went to Bourbon to party. Yes, even had a late night Lucky Dog on a street corner. A good night.
