Dude, all you have to do is search for the "where's my stuff?" link in amazon. you can report the package as late, and amazon will at least credit you and give you a return option, or in some cases just credit you and let you keep the item.

if the principle of a late day of shipping is that important, send them a message and send your shite back.

edit: after reading it appears they may just credit a portion of your prime membership instead of letting you keep the shite, but i've had a few instances where something didn't work and they just let us keep it while crediting it.

USPS for the whole trip is fine, but FedEdx Smartpost where they hand it off to the USPS for the last mile always seems to have problems.

If you are this bent out of shape, perhaps you're more of a Wal-Mart type of guy.

Amazon customer service is outstanding. If they don't deliver on a promise, complain and demand compensation. They will probably give you a credit toward your next purchase. Hopefully what you needed can wait a day.

$100 for everything you get with Amazon Prime is a steal. So it will be free 3 day shipping instead of free 2 day shipping. Big deal.

But if you're looking for a delivery service that never screws up, good luck. It doesn't exist.

FedEx delivered a dividend check to me a couple weeks ago. Actuall the old lady four housed down brought it to me after FedEx delivered it to her. She is around 75 and had the brains to match the street number on the package.

Well when you find a delivery service that doesn't frick up, bump this thread and let us know.

I mean, imagine how much weed you would smoke if your job was to sort or deliver mail all day. Now imagine how much you'd smoke if that was your job for 4 or 5 years. My god, it's amazing they get anything done at all.

UPS "lost" a 130lb 6ft heavy bag after it had already been put on the truck for delivery.

FedEx left a package at our business in downtown BR at 530 on a Friday afternoon, in full view of the street. Of course it was stolen.

As I said earlier, once the OP finds a delivery service that doesn't frick up, I hope he updates and shares the good news.

ETA: I can't remember that last time I had a big issue like that with USPS.

They all suck. I have a package using UPS Mail Innovations that's been stuck somewhere between UPS and USPS for 3 days. You're basically paying for a chance at getting your shite.

Did you order some 3rd party shite through Amazon and you're calling that Amazon Prime?

no. I don't remember the last time I used Amazon without taking advantage of Prime. If it's not eligible, I don't bother.

My firm did a cost management project there. You have no idea the level of incompetence and inefficiency. Whatever you think it is, multiply it by 10x.

'd heard rumors about USPS fricking up Prime, and today it happened to me. Not cool.

Amazon pretended like my package would get here today by 8pm. But here we are at almost 9pm, and I have no faith that a government employee is still laboring away.

I got an Amazon package via USPS today in 1 day even though I did the free 2 day. I guess I took one of your days.

U always get screwed when UPS or FedEx passes off to USPS for delivery. The postal service is pretty worthless at this point.

That "SmartPost" system is always a clusterfrick. USPS by itself rocks. They're my preferred shipping method for both outgoing and incoming and have been for a long time.
