Project manager position for a flooring company. I want to ask for 41 a year, which would equate to around 20 am hour.
What would be a good salary to ask for?

What does this type of position typically pay?
Why do you believe you are qualified for this position? What can you do for them that someone else can't? Money aside, how does this position look to you - would you accept it for other reasons?

8-5 Monday through Friday and variance in Saturday.
I'm going to try and play it calm but I really want the job. I've been selling floors the last two years but for a different company. This would give me a better schedule to enjoy time with my family.
I only make 15 an hour so hopefully it will give a nice pay raise too.

Ask for MORE. And then settle for what you want in negotiations.
Start at 50 or 55 if the interview goes well. They may come back at 45ish. And boom. You win!

It's a smaller company, do you think 50,000 a year would be too much?

Point out that with your background, experience and dependability track record, you expect them to be fair and at 44 with at 10% bump in 6 months.
Speaking Spanish would be a plus.

What did the last guy that had the position make?

I would actually ask for a pay decrease.
And if he gives it to you? Then you win

Nope. They won't give 50. But they might settle around 45 instead of 40 you know?
