Don't trust people or institutions.
Vote Democratic but dislike political parties.
Are cool with big government.
Support gay marriage and pot legalization.
Are self indulgent and narcissistic.
Are optimistic.
Are addicted to your technology.

Are cool with big government.

Nope. Not a fan of government.

Government shouldn't be in the marriage business. All drugs should be legal.

While I generally agree with the assessment of millennials, this
quote:

Are addicted to your technology.

is spoken like a baby boomer that still sends me faxes because he "doesn't trust email."

I really don't mind young people being any of those things. Young people are always more libertine than their parents. Their views will change as they mature, acquire wealth, and become responsible for other people (like children).

My main concerns today is that young people are naive about the world and the bad guys in it. Obama, whom they made a messianic figure before they lost interest, is 100% reflective of that worldview. There is also a large contingent of 20-somethings who really and truly don't care about working hard (hence the support of bigger goverment -- they want to be taken care of).

I'm an outsider who's neither boomer or millennial. I've observed both generations and in my unbiased opinion while the boomers are not that great, the millennial generation is worse, far worse in fact.

If there was some sort of apocolypse and the world went dark -- no electricity, no phone, no internet -- they would be the least able to survive, probably the most unprepared in the history of Earth. That's because the world they inhabit is mostly digital. Their happiness depends on other people maintaining the digital infrastructure. Their support systems are all online.
