I'd look at apartments in the Kaliste Saloom/River Ranch area. The Crescent is nice, lot of talent walking around.

If you want cheap, I would suggest Freetown, within walking distance of the Blue Moon. Otherwise, the St. Streets is a cozy neighborhood. It's been awhile since I've lived there though, so things may have changed.

Well you will be going "against" traffic. Might look for an alt to Broussard though. Broussard can be a tough ride going south. Not as bad as going north, but still no dog fall.

I went to Festival Friday night and only spotted 3 Affliction shirts.
I moved here from BR in 2005 and couldn't be happier.

Drinks at corner bar and the tap room. Find a place on the south end of town.

Definitely catch a few Icegator games

Live at the landing.
Drink all over the place. Dix. Daqs. Tap room. Legends. Pour. Blue moon. Artmosphere.

You won't have a problem finding a place to grab a drink.

The Landing is not bad and reasonably priced. It's right in the middle of everything.

I live in the "good" area now. Grew up in the "cowboy" area though.
If you're working north of i10, I'd try to live somewhere near Bertrand. We have a Rouses, right next to cajun field/cajun dome, a legends and you're only a couple minutes from downtown. The Saints Streets are ok, but the boys on Simcoe are figuring that out. Freetown is cool and all, but parking is abysmal and the hippies are getting OOC.
