I totally agre on UGA. It's very cool campus to walk around and explore for visitors. Can't say i'd like all those steps and hills as a student though.

One the Bama has that we don't is that all of their buildings go together.
They all have that same red brick style, LSU's buildings don't match

I do like the LSU campus, but it would be shortsighted to not admit that many of the buildings are old and could use a revamp.
I spent 5 years in Tuscaloosa and 3 years in Baton Rouge. Alabama has an amazing campus but a lot of that comes from the consistent architecture. The building for the most part are pleasing to the eye and all follow the same style. And from what I've noticed traveling back, its even better than it was when I was a student.
LSU has a beautiful campus that is hurt somewhat by the eyesores like Middleton. I also thought the Greek houses didnt really belong on campus, they just didn't impress. The Lakes and the Law Center definitely add a lot to the campus. If you were ranking them nationally, I doubt LSU would be that far behind Bama, Ole Miss, or anyone else in the SEC.

I've visited all of the SEC campuses expect Mizzu. As much as it pains me Bama's ranks at the top as far as aesthetics are concerend. From there I'd rank the top 5 like this...
2. Florida
3. Auburn (thanks to all the work they've done over the past 10 or so years, before that AU was meh at best)
4. Georgia
5. Ole Miss
I'd say LSU is right there in the middle between 6 & 8.

MSU is in a dry county,
But oddly enough Starkville isn't.

Middleton should be torn down.

To be honest I was talking about UT, which I do not appreciate at all.
UGA is fine, it's got some absolutely great parts, but a ton of really meh parts as well. I spent three years on North Campus on UGA, which if it constituted all of UGA's campus, would probably easily be tops in the SEC. But it's a much larger campus than that, and much of it is unremarkable.

UGAs campus is the nicest I've been to in the SEC. I would put LSU in the top 4.

Starkville is an absolute shithole
Outside of campus and the cotton district maybe but strictly campus and the adjacent cotton district, I'd rank it higher than what any other west school offers except maybe the square and ole miss.

I have been to MSU, OM, Bama, and UF. LSU's is really nice and I love it but Bama's is nicer. However if I spent 4 years on Bama's campus the niceness would wear off and I would recognize their version of middleton etc.

I dont think the people saying Tennessee have ever been. The river and mountains around Knoxville are beautiful, absolutely beautiful. But the campus itself is putrid. Like downright ugly, they have plans to fix it though

Yeah Lockett is awful, especially the lower half of it. Too bad they aren't going to demolish it anytime soon.

Tennessee has a lot of those ugly 60's-70's style buildings. Just real blocky, few windows, reminds you of Eastern Europe.

I think they should renovate Lockett into a study area, tear down Middleton, and build an aesthetically pleasing smaller library.

rec center has to be the absolute worst

If you nuke the abomination known as Middleton (which is an ugly building that also ruins the original vision for the campus), LSU's is up there as one of the very best in the country.
