It's only going to get more expensive if the federal government doesn't recognize what needs to be done for coastal restoration.

But think how much better the infrastructure is after all of the efficient local government spending

Pump system in NO is state of the art
BR has the comite diversion almost done
Coast is rebuilding itself
Drainage is top notch

The state of La should be forced to spend every cent it took in from state oil leases prior to one cent of federal money being involved, the companies involved should repair the damage they caused as well.

LA whored out it's own coast, asking for federal help while keeping the proceeds is a bit much.

There is 0% chance any major oil company will do anything to repair the coast.
