I have little to no sympathy for people who harass men with guns. Same for the Americans who were killed in the Boston Massacre.

In my opinion, the Kent St. kids thought they were revolutionaries and found out that revolutions have a cost they weren't willing to pay.

Yes we agree it's pretty sad to realize that Americans with at least a HS education don't recognize that photo.

If this happened today, 99% of this board would side with the soldiers who killed the Kent State Four. The dead and their friends and fellow war protesters would be savaged same as Heather Heyer was.

I’m sure the 7 likes are for the fact that these kids died.

Heather Hyer was a stupid twat. And so are you.

Lol, wtf are you talking about, there's no Klan meeting going on around here. Melodramatic dipshit. How about you do the honorable thing and specifically name the people you're referring to.

I don't side with them. Baton Rouge had its own tragedy on Southern's campus when two students were killed by police in 1972.
I feel for both sides in these incidents b/c the communication/intelligence is usually shite and the chaos is overwhelming.

Educate y'all selves.

Nola Article about the SU Protests and shootings in 1972
quote:

The Southern shootings took place Nov. 16, 1972, after weeks of demonstrations by students protesting inadequate services. When the students marched on University President Leon Netterville's office, Gov. Edwin Edwards sent 300 police officers in to break up the demonstrations.

It was during the subsequent confrontation that a still-unidentified officer fired a shotgun at students in violation of orders. When the smoke cleared, two 20-year-old students -- Leonard Brown and Denver Smith -- were dead.

No one was ever charged in their deaths. Edwards, who is interviewed in "Tell Them We Are Rising," blamed the students, saying their actions were a "trigger" for the police response.
