We get a few tags a year to harvest on some swamp land. The way it's set up we have several small canals throughout the swamp, just wide enough for a surface drive, give or take a foot or two. We also hunt hogs in the same area. We've were out there looking for hogs and stumbled across a nesting momma who full bore charged the boat...repeatedly. She ended up either ramming us or tried biting the hull under the water line. We figured that was enough fun for us.

I've heard people use spotter copters and mark the nests with markers and GPS. Then, ground patrol rolls in.
