And make sure to start in-game and post-game threads.

I'm sure those will go like this thread.

At least do it at a restaurant and tell us where is will be so some OTers can show up or at the very least send you some champagne.

You do realize this "break up" is going to last more than one night, right? She's going to want to talk. A LOT. Be prepared. Don't just expect to lower the boom, get the ring back and move on with your life.

Also, dumping her right before the holidays- holy shite.

Also, all of her friends and family are going to fricking hate you. You will be a leper among people you once considered friends.

I've seen it happen.

OK. You want a cookie or something? Not sure why you're telling me you don't have kids.

It's possible he started feeling this way only AFTER they got engaged.

Just as possible as what I said at this point given that the OP doesn't seem to be giving any additional info.

Well, actions have consequences. He doesn't want to marry her. A lot of people hating on the OP without all the facts. Just a bunch of people jumping to conclusions.

so boils down to this:

1. relationship just got stale.
2. OP met someone new at work and is madly in love with her.
3. OP met someone new at work and is madly in love with him.

ABsolutey this. Especially since it's right before the holidays.

Many of your mutual friends you're certain are in your corner are going to turn on you as well. And if she is hanging with them, you aren't.

GOod luck.

I would hope he hasn't strung her along for 10 years. He probably is just coming to the realization that he doesn't want to be with her anymore. It happens. He probably had similar feelings when he proposed but likely didn't have a choice if he wanted to stay together.

OTOH, she has been in a relationship with you for 10 years and you still aren't married? I hope this started in middle school cause if not, something is up with this chick hanging around that long without a commitment.
