Has anybody dealt with this officer, who doesn't seem to give a frick about a citizen's rights under the constitution?
Come on, LEO. Quit trampling our rights and inadequately training the young guys to do the same. I know that the constitution makes your job more difficult, but you and I both know that there are plenty of bullshite loopholes that allow you to circumvent the public's rights, so you don't have to take it a step further and shite on the constitution too.
YT video of the entire interaction; the contact with the unlawful LEO starts at ~2 minutes

Trying to provoke law enforcement and get something "wrong" on tape. They did the same thing to the entrance of Camp Beauregard a couple of years ago. Wish this jackass would go video the front of Tripple S Food Mart at 2:00 in the morning.

Jackass is annoying but the cop totally violated his rights.
It's 2018. How does law enforcement not know how to handle situations like this?

So, he got a response and then acts like a prick about it. I have a feeling every time he videos somewhere and he doesn't get a response he's disappointed.
My question: the video guy says police officers do not have the right to ask a person for his name. I thought an officer has the right to ask a person for his name. Does anybody here know what's correct?

The guy in the video sounds like a jackass. He even has a go fund me link under the video to support his endeavors harassing law enforcement.
On a side note, is there really a huge devide between the citizens and police here? It seems to me the area police departments have a lot of support in general.

I don't know. It could be either or neither.
Our police seem to have a problem with the whole reasonable suspicion based on articulable fact thing. Is that bc it is a difficult concept or bc they couldn't give a shite about how they acquire whatever information that they seek?
It blows my mind how many people don't give a shite that our law enforcement regularly tramples people's rights to get their job done more easily. Like a lot of you, I don't have to worry about it, bc I am a law abiding citizen, but where does it stop if we don't stop it? When do our authority figures decide that they've infringed on enough of our rights?
This guy does go around and "starts shite". He legally videos public buildings and public servants, waits on the police to arrive, and tries to explain to them how to legally police the citizens of our country. Unfortunately, most of the agencies don't know how to constitutionally police us or they don't care.

They can if they have reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed, is being committed, or is about to be committed.
