A hitch and ball can bend the laws of physics?

If you know how to use it, sure.

I keep a hitch and ball in 100% of the time. In 12 years since I've been driving I think I've been rear ended 3 times below 40 mph each time into the hitch and received not even a scratch.

It fricks up the other car though. All SUVs FWIW.

Recently bought a new car (Subaru Outback) and didn't have a hitch in and was bumped at a red light by an old lady idling in a Lexus sedan and my bumper got a big ole scratch.

Coincidentally with this thread, I went today to get my tow package put on so I can have a hitch now.

Also, in those 12 years, I've walked my shin straight into my hitch maybe 20 times and that hurts so fricking bad

people actually steal these off trucks pretty often, so you're asking for it if you don't have a lock on it.
I didn't know people had to do this until I moved to South Louisiana. Sad.

Not sure...but it can bend your frame in an accident.

This.

May save yourself some money in bumper damage, but total your truck out with frame damage.

Just not insecure and like great vehicles. Get out of the South.

And yes, I have mad lesbo street cred in the South now.

That way you can feel your way around backing up. When you hit another car, you know it's time to stop. Brilliant!

You poors should come into the late 20th century and get backup cameras.

Hitting my shin on a hitch and getting my Achilles tendon run over by a grocery cart are two fears that keep me up at night.

is this illegal in LA?

I always leave mine on. Cop in PA told me it was illegal. I told him to write the ticket. He did. Had to get it fixed by a buddy cop.

this saved me once before when a dumb blonde drunk off her arse rear ended my chevy

Well, people in the Northwest don't see them as lesbo cars and the fact they are incredible vehicles is indisputable. I just don't care that people see it as a lesbo car in the South. Kind of makes me laugh. I'm married, what the frick do I care

I got mine a week before Nashville got about a foot of snow and it straight dominated. Ground clearance is better than a lot of stock trucks and the AWD is beastly. Interior is super nice on mine too.

Their bumpers are pretty freaking solid, and their radiators are 1-2ft behind the bumper. Also, only the bottom of it can be hit by the bumper.

You sure you didn't mean a Volvo car?

Nor should you.

But it doesn't change the fact that it is the #1 car choice of lesbians everywhere.
