How many packs of Pall Malls did he smoke a day and how many empties were rolling around the truck bed?

I started driving in 1984, first truck was a Ford blue Ford courier. You could roll down the passenger window without reaching far. You could also get stuck and 3 strong young men could pick up the back and move it out of the rut.

Black vinyl bench seat, four speed, no AC and heater came directly off the manifold...it would melt stuff if you didnt watch out.

Someone in the neighborhood had a 4 wheel drive luv, black with orange stripes, little buckshot Ns on it....I thought it was the nicest truck I ever saw.

Had a blue one exactly like that 1981 Luv with Isuzu 4 cylinder diesel.
Almost 50 MPG. Top speed was 78 MPH.

U doubt my Courier would go that fast, but the speed limit was 55 at max, so I bet I never went faster than mid 60s tops.

My grandfather drove this beast. White Thunder. Doors weighed 350 a piece. He was a Baptist deacon. Did not drink, swear or gamble, although he LOVED the stock market, which is totally not gambling. If he showed up wearing his sweatband, your arse was about to go to work.

My Grandpa drove a baby blue chevy luv until 1992 then bought a cream colored dodge ram, ugliest truck in the world.

I never saw the man smoke a cig or drink a beer.

I've been trying to buy a baby blue stepside version of the Chevy Luv for more than a decade now. It is now on its second owner in the family, but I ain't giving up.
Bought new and kept damn well, never hot rodded, and no rust.

I want that truck, but they just aren't cooperating with me.

Dodge has made some absolutely hideous trucks over the years.

Mine drove a Black Mercury Grand Marquis with red interior and pulled a 19' Sabre Hull with a 115 Johnson to go fishing and trawling.

I have casually looked for a 79 Courier short bed for a while. Would love to have it to mess around in.

Took my drivers test in a canary yellow ‘Luv.
No power steering for parallel parking. Manual transmission for the win.

Wasn't that a 70's truck..?

S-10 pickups came out in the early 80's.
