I've always thought about building an indoor softball facility if I were to win. 6 or 8 fields and have leagues all year. BP cages and stuff as well.

I assume you meant that the fields would be outside, but I wonder how much it would cost to build a facility with 2 or 3 playable fields inside? The height of the roof required would drive the price up.

Buy a ranch, and put a small house on it. I would spend my time hunting, and fishing. I would also have a fish camp on the LA/MS line, and spend some time on the water. My cash would be in VTSMX.

I'd buy one of those badass houses on the LSU lakes, and main mode of transportation to class would be Kenny Powers style jet ski.

I would be so new money

ETA: Maybe a cabin on Lake Michigan and a boat, or a house on Dauphin Island with a fishing boat. Build a 3-4k sqft house here in Texas, with land I can hunt on, take care of mom & dad and a few other relatives, invest the rest in real estate. Keep living like I'm living.

House in Lakeview. Condo downtown. Cabin the woods in the mountains somewhere you can only get to by helicopter, a helicopter, flying lessons, an finally a Music Studio for local acts and a custom guitar building center where you can learn to build your own instruments or we can build one for you.

Give 25 million to Loyola Law School, 25 million specifically to the Moot Court Program and 25 million to the United Negro College Fund

Give:
10 Million to my parents
1 Million to siblings (2)
100 Thousand to cousins/aunts/etc (We will say 50)
Total: 17 Million

Buy:
House in New Orleans 1.5 Million
House in Tennessee or Georgia on a lake 1 Million
Nice Truck 50k
Nice Car 100k
Nice ATV 20k
Nice Boat 50k
All the stuff to go in them/with them 500k
Total: 3.22 Million

Donate:
1 Million to LSU
1 Million to TAF
500k to my HS
500k to Camp Stanislaus
Total: 3 Million

Misc:
Suite in Tiger Stadium
Suite in Superdome
Suite in Smoothie King Arena
Suite in Alex Box
Total: Guessing 2 Million?

With all of that, I would be spending: $23.22 Million.....

With the remaining 157 million I would probably put 100 million in stock, 25 million into buying a business or franchise, and keep 32 million on hand to play with.

First thing I would do is call up my cousin who works for Wells Fargo and start talking investments and savings. I mean, do you just go to the bank and deposit a check for $180 million? I imagine I would have to spend a couple weeks lining up everything and making sure my money was protected and insured.

Short term-
Pay off my house and cars
Pay off house and cars of all immediate family
Donate at least $5-$10 million to various charities
Invest or save all money in accounts that will generate enough interest to live off of
Put $10 million in a trust fund for my daughter

Long term-
Move to San Francisco
Buy, build, or invest in some type of golf course or practice facility
House in Vail/Beaver Creek, CO for ski vacations at any time
Condo in some type of luxury beach area
Probably upgrade vehicles

And basically just do whatever it takes to live worry free for the rest of my life and make sure my wife and kids would never have to worry about money.

Small jet, a place on the Pacific, one in London, maybe something in Ireland, a couple of boats and a bunch of philanthropy.

Possibly horizontal purchases to what I'm in now, I know the business, but that wouldn't take much money or effort.

As a template, I know several folks with this amount of coin (or more) but they stay engaged in their core businesses.
