To live. Which would you choose ? What city/town? Why ?

The skinny part of Idaho, could be in Spokane, Washington in 20 minutes or skiing in Montana in less than an hour.

Coeur d'Alene, ID
Bozeman, MT if you can afford it.

So the part of Wyoming that is a little slice of San Francisco?

It all depends on which area of each of those states.

Northwest Wyoming (Cody) and Bozeman Montana have been all over my radar. Mrs jkyle and I are strongly considering a move once my stepkids are out of the house and off to college . Would be a little different than central Louisiana I'd assume.

Beautiful state. I wouldn't mind living there. Parts of it are pretty expensive too.

That's why I asked what city/town . I'm just trying to gather a little feedback on some places to research for a possible move in a couple years.

My dad has a place about 15 miles north of Bozeman. It's a cool town. It's just gotten stupid expensive. Are you going to be retiring or working remotely or something like that?

Wyoming with Idaho a close second and I would've like to have seen Montana third.
The caveat is that I own a hundred acres in the mountains where I can have a greenhouse to grow vegetables (attached to the main house via airlock/mudroom, of course), a place for some barnyard animals, a running stream on the property for water, and enough room to be left the frick alone.

I wish I was retiring. I'm 34. Will be working remotely. Mrs jkyle is an elementary teacher so would need to find a job. Teacher pay could factor in on the decision I guess.
